One of the things that can hinder you from thriving in your current season is fear. Fear is a valid emotion. You need fear to warn you of danger—to alert you when things aren’t quite right. But fear is not valid when it begins to control you. Your transformed mind needs to set the course of your life, not your emotions. Fear is a very unpredictable emotion. It can manifest itself in many ways, and if left unattended, it can rob you of joy, immobilize you in your home and destroy your life.
Every real father desires to reproduce himself in his son. Our Heavenly Father’s dream is to reproduce Himself in us. You understand that the New Creation has received the nature and life of the Father.
We invite the Holy Spirit, who has imparted to us this Nature from the Father, to come into our body and make His home in us, then as we begin to feed on the Word, practice the Word, live the Word, He builds that Word into us.
And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?" (Daniel 6:20)
The Bible tells the story of a man who laid his faith on the line. As the Bible says, “He believed in his God.” (Daniel 6:23)
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye”?
Judging: This is a serious issue in the Body of Christ. There’s a whole lot of judging going on and much of it is disguised as “This is what God told me to tell you.”
Jesus served, healed, comforted, fed, taught, ministered to, and redeemed people. And yet, He was still misunderstood, laughed at, talked about, cursed, falsely accused, beaten, and ultimately murdered. YET…He still chose PEOPLE.
When you understand that people matter, you will become less and less a selfish and self-centered person. Your thoughts will lean in the direction of meeting other people's needs before your own.
